51³Ô¹Ï Me

I am an assistant professor in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. I am a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Catholic Medical Association, and the Bismarck Physicians Guild, and I serve on the boards for the North Dakota Occupational Therapy Association and Stepping Stone Medical Respite. I enjoy advocacy and serve as the ambassador for ND for the American Occupational Therapy Political Action Committee. I am certified in LSVT BIG, Bioethics, and am a Tobacco Treatment Specialist. I have practiced primarily in adult physical rehabilitation across all settings, with a specific focus on individuals living with neurological conditions. In addition, I bring a breadth of clinical management experience, having worked as a director of rehabilitation for interdisciplinary teams.

Why I’m At Mary

To put it simply, the University of Mary feels like home to me. With my vast array of experience in the health care field, I know there are many challenges our students will encounter. The University of Mary's mission and vision allows me to bridge the connection for students: the connection between having a competent knowledge foundation and being morally courageous in a constantly changing health care field.

Expertise

In the role of assistant professor in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, I oversee the pro bono clinic and teach courses related to adult practice, delivery, and management, and neurological conditions.  My research interests include working with individuals who are living with brain injury, clinicians' experience with moral injury, bioethics, artificial intelligence, and underserved populations.
